It was a low key podcast this week with just Laura, Matt, Debbie and I in attendence. We spoke of many wonderful things: Our weeks, our days, our loves, our losses, our hopes, our snakes. We asked each other questions, we reviewed the week in news and we told stories of our show business beginnings. We hope you enjoy this enstallment of Weezy and The Swish.
Podcast 57 or "Where's Laura?" We really don't remember where she went. We do know that Kyle Cease filled in creating Weezy and Cease. Kyle brought a mess of peeps with him. He brought his friend, Ian Broyles, his brother Kevin Cease, Kevin's girlfriend, Courtney Wells, all of whom are Kyle's roommates. Kyle also brought comedian Bob Bledsoe and plus we had our usual compliment of Siggy and Debbie so the heat played a factor in this podcast. Kyle spent a lot of time with his legs up in the air. This is a known sign of heatstroke and/or emotional distress. We spoke of many lovely things. Among them snakes and comedy. Please click and join us...
Episode 56 has it all, or at least a lot of it. Stuff like comedian Kyle Cease, clips from his new CD, Laura and Kyle whispering secrets and giggling at Weezy, Kyle's brother Kevin and roommate, Ian, the mystery of phantom dookie, comedy workshop, and Kyle on the tiny piano. Please don't miss this and pay attention because it's a very busy podcast and we don't want you to be as confused as I was.
Weezy & The Swish welcome comedian, Michelle Biloon to the podcast and thereby launch some rather wicked girl talk. With help from chat room questions, Michelle delves swiftly into comedians she doesn't like and why. From there, it's a wild journey through the art and the craft of stand-up comedy, how drunk is drunk and making out with strangers. Click on this...
In Podcast 54, Laura returns from China with cookies and we welcome comedian Graham Ellwood who is among the funniest guest we have entertained or who has entertained us. Laura brings tales of eating a snake, climbing the great wall and selling babies. Graham brings the lore of his visits to Afganastan and documentary filmmaking adventures and Weezy brings snacks. Tune into this podcast. It is among our finest.
Our guest on the podcast is comedian, Brent Weinbach who joins Weezy and Guest Co-Host, Guy Brannum. The art and joy and frustration of stand-up comedy is discussed as well as other fascinating topics such as video games, The rich and colorful Yiddish language, and Weezy's grizzly run in with a certain unsavory hotel in Santa Barbara which for the sake of this discussion we will call The Andalucia, because that's its name. Also please enjoy video game music as played by Brent Weinbach on a tiny piano.
Here is the video called "Reggie Whatever" referenced during the show...
